Overview

Imdaad based in Dubai, is the top integrated facilities management company in UAE. They manage over 7,000 employees handling over 3,000 customers in several sections of the society from homes to industries. They handle hard facilities management, environmental solutions, material recovery, soft services, home maintenance, fire detection, and many others.

Problem Faced

The work order management platform is handled using Oracle Fusion Cloud. But there were no mobile apps available for the field service personnel, their supervisors, or managers to handle day-to-day operations. This caused a lot of communication and operational gaps in the work order process flow causing it to become inefficient and time-consuming as they had to be done manually.

Goal

To create a world-class mobile app and work order management portal for the field service personnel, supervisors, and managers that will help to seamlessly manage the work order processing and make the entire process traceable and transparent. The app should connect to the backend Oracle Fusion Cloud system seamlessly using REST 2.0 JSON APIs to complete the process.

Solution

MacAppStudio designed and developed the end-to-end app for the Field service personnel and a Field Service Portal for Supervisors and Managers. This app helped the Field Service Personnel to view all work orders allocated to them, view detail a work order, navigate to that location, mark the status of the work order, attach photos or files for the work order and avail additional services to complete the work order like material request, petty cash or a service request, etc. Once the work order is completed it will move from the assigned work order list to the completed work order list of the Field Service Personnel.

The field service web portal is available for Supervisors, and Managers to manage the work order, allocations, and the corresponding reports. The integration with the Oracle Cloud Fusion system is done via secure REST 2.0 JSON APIs.

Current Status

The platform was launched in 2021 and has been seamlessly used by Field Service Personnel, Supervisors, and Managers to handle the day-to-day work orders and the corresponding allocations and execution. The app enables the Field Service personnel to handle their jobs easily and also get notification and updates of the new jobs or existing jobs in real-time which makes the process a lot more efficient than it was earlier.
