AGS Entertainment is a film production and distribution company in India. It was established in 2006 by three brothers Kalpathi S.Aghoram, Kalpathi S.Ganesh, and Kalpathi S.Suresh. AGS has swiftly and surely become a household name with regards to film production, distribution, and exhibition after successfully establishing the feature film production, and has brand ventured into film exhibition, and established AGS Cinemas Pvt. Ltd in 2010. Since then AGS become the favored multiplex location across the city and is known for providing the high-quality movie viewing experience with a seating capacity of 3800 with 4 locations and is looking to increase the number.
The ticket booking platform of AGS cinemas was slow and inefficient. The apps for AGS were not effective and lacked a good user experience. The apps connected to a legacy back end and hence they were slow and limited in capabilities. Several business critical features and reports were not available on the platform.
To create an awesome, secure and scalable app based ticket booking platform for AGS Cinemas with a world-class UI/UX. The platform should be able to seamlessly book tickets via several channels like apps, website, box office, phone booking, corporate booking along with other ticketing partners like BookMyShow, PayTM, etc.
MacAppStudio designed and developed an end-to-end app ticketing platform for AGS cinemas with iOS App, Android App, Website, Box Office system, Scanner app, CEO App, and an Admin dashboard to control the system end to end. The platform also connected seamlessly to other booking systems like BookMyShow, PayTM, etc to ensure maximum ticket bookings at all times. With the solution, AGS Cinemas was able to seamlessly manage the end to end process CiniCloud of theatre management, ticketing fulfillment, and delivery including all other services like locations management, movie cataloging, screen management, seat layout management, finance management, reporting, and analytics that would be needed by the administrators of a chain of theatre spread across locations.
The platform was launched in Nov 2017 and has been seamlessly managing 4 locations, 16 screens, and 3800 seats. The platform has booked over 6 million tickets as of July 2019 and has 100% replaced the legacy system that AGS Cinemas was using earlier. Apart from the ticketing process, the platform provides a lot of value-added features, reports, and insights to help the top management of the platform take real-time business decisions.
