Overview

The platform of Conektr was envisioned to provide an end to end digital platform to connect the important pieces of the FMCG Supply Chain which are the Brand, Distributor, Retailer and End Consumer. The platform was backed by veterans in the FMCG industry who wanted to have a single digital platform for servicing across brands.

Problem Faced

In the FMCG platform, their process of order taking, stock maintenance, inventory management, and fulfillment were all done manually by different systems each for the respective brand. This causes a huge amounts of data loss, time delays, and lost opportunities for brands and distributors as well as retailers and consumers.

Goal

To create a world-class end-to-end supply platform in FMCG for connecting brands, distributors, retailers, and end customers to enable ordering across multiple brands at any level, to track orders, manage inventory, fulfillment and much more on a day to day basis. The platform also has a dedicated app for the Van Sales module which is the core for order delivery from distributor to retailed and order taking from retailed to the distributor.

Solution

MacAppStudio designed and developed an end-to-end digital platform to connect all the stakeholders of an FMCG supply chain. The platform consists of a brand app, distributor app, retail app, and customer app in which each of the stakeholders can place orders, make payments, and track orders with the higher level stakeholder in the supply chain. For example, the customer can place an orders with retailers, the retailer places an orders with the distributor, and the distributor places order with the brand.

The platform also has a van sales app dedicated to the connection between the distributor and the retailer who helps in fulfilling an orders from the distributor to the retailer and takes orders from the retailed to the distributor. The van sales module also has a lot of additional features like planogram, additional products, offers, promotional materials, and discounts.

There is a separate delivery agent app for the retailer to deliver to the end customer. The overall platform is managed by the super admin which is Conektr to onboard brands, manage information, business performance, reports, and analytics.

Current Status

The platform was launched in 2018 and has since expanded to over 5000+retail stores in UAE becoming the #1 FMCG Supply Chain platform in the region connecting brands, distributors, retailed and end customers and enhancing the entire experience of all stakeholders at every level of the process.
